A First Class Care elder care companion will give you the assurance that someone you love is well cared for. First Class Care elder care companions provide non-medical care to individuals and couples who need support to successfully live independently. First Class Care works with our clients to create a care plan tailored to their specific needs. Our caregivers are dependable, compassionate and trustworthy individuals who truly enjoy helping others.

Caregivers can be hired for live-in, live-out, full time, part time as well as for temporary care. Whether you need assistance in your home or a senior facility our caregivers will meet all your needs.

Caregiver Duties Include:
Assistance with personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming and hygiene
Linen change and laundry including sheets, towels and clothing
Meal preparation including special diets followed by dishes and kitchen clean up
Grocery shopping, pharmacy pick up and other errands
Transportation or accompaniment to the bank, salon, religious services, airport, medical and other appointments
Full or light cleaning of a home
Medication reminders
Assistance with safe transfers to and from, bed, chair, sofa, commode, walker and wheelchair
Feed pets and water plants
Special projects at the clients direction such as cleaning out closets and packing
Assistance with exercise programs and range of motion as directed by a medical professional
Companionship
Mail correspondence
Supervise home maintenance
Bill payments

First Class Care Caregivers normally receive between $12-$20 per hour depending on experience, duties, hours and other benefits offered.

First Class Care Caregivers go through extensive screening before being placed with you. We only place the best of the best and make sure you will get the most qualified caregivers.

Screening process includes:
1. Must meet Minimum requirements:
Must be Legal to work
20 years or older
2+ years of professional experience
High School Graduate
Work References
Doctors physical in the last 12 months
Speak GOOD English
NON Smoker
No criminal convictions
Current Drivers License
2. Complete an extensive application
3. Meet with a licensed employment counselor for an in-depth interview.
4. Have references checked by a licensed employment counselor and must all be excellent
5. Pass a Basic Skills Assessment Certification as required by the State of Illinois
6. Complete background checks and a Social Security trace, Driving Record, Criminal Record, and Sexual Offender Record

Caregivers are not medically trained, although some are RNs, CNAs and have experience in specialties care such as Alzheimers, stroke recovery, and more.

First Class Cares fee for all placements of Full or Part time Caregivers is 10% of the caregivers first years gross wages, minimum $795. We offer a 6 month replacement guarantee and for the first 30 days, a refund (less 25% of gross wages paid).

First Class Cares fee for all TEMP placements (defined as an individual hired to work for less than 6 months) Full or Part time is 15% of the caregivers first years gross wages. The minimum placement fee for a Temp employed 5-10 days is $300, the minimum placement fee for a Temp employed more than 10 days is $500.
